Yesterday, the domestic trailer (and new images) for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter went online. The trailer followed the famous maxim, “Axes speak louder than words.” Now an international trailer has followed and while it shares Johnny Cash’s Bible-reading voice-over, it also has Dominic Cooper’s character imploring Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) to fight vampires. That’s the film briefly speaking for itself before going back to axe-fu and playing the story’s premise completely straight.
Hit the jump to check out the international trailer. The film also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie, Alan Tudyk, Jimmi Simpson, and Rufus Sewell. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens in 3D on July 22nd.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
