‘All That’ Cast to Reunite at New York Comic-Con

     September 28, 2015

As you may or may not have noticed by the mammoth box office of Jurassic World this summer, 90s nostalgia is alive and well. Those whose formative years fell somewhere between 1989 and 2000 are now loyal consumers in the all-important 18-34 year old demographic, and it looks as though we’re in for a slew of entertainment that plays directly into that 90s nostalgia factor. Case in point: last week we learned that Nickelodeon—to the delight of many—is launching an all-new programming block called “The Splat,” in which they will air reruns of the network’s classic 90s programs.

One such show that looks to have a resurgence is All That, Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy series that ran from 1994 to 2000 and launched the careers of Nick stars like Kel Mitchell, Kenan Thompson, and Lori Beth Denberg. The series is part of Nick’s “The Splat” programming rotation, and in anticipation of its October 5th launch, Nickelodeon is staging an All That reunion at the upcoming New York Comic-Con.

The network announced today that All That cast members Kel Mitchell, Lori Beth Denberg, Danny Tamberelli, and Josh Server will appear during an hour-long panel at New York Comic-Con to talk about the series and share some memorable moments from production. The panel will take place on Saturday, October 10th, and 4:15pm in Room 1A10.

This is actually a pretty smart way to promote “The Splat,” and I’d certainly be interested in hearing what Denberg, Tamberelli and Co. have to say about All That if I were in attendance. As someone who regularly adored shows like Hey Arnold, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, I’m absolutely looking forward to checking out “The Splat” now and again when it begins its regular rotation late nights on TeenNick.

What was your favorite All That sketch, folks? “Everyday French with Pierre Escargot”? “The Loud Librarian?” Or was “Good Burger” more your style? Sound off in the comments below.
