Watch Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Screen Test; Marc Webb Teases Easter Eggs

     November 8, 2012

The wheels are moving quickly on Sony’s sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, but director Marc Webb’s reboot only just hit Blu-ray earlier this week.  The disc includes a rather extensive making-of documentary, and a few pieces from that feature have now been released online.  First up is a look at the screen test between stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.  Their chemistry was the best thing about the whole film, and they shine in the bits of footage we see here.  The screen test is interspersed with footage of Webb, Garfield, and Stone talking about the inspired pairing.

Additionally, another video features Webb and visual effects supervisor Jerome Chen talking about the various Easter Eggs that they’ve hidden throughout the film.  Hit the jump for more.

“I’ll give you a clue — there’s a scene where Gwen is in the Oscorp lab giving a tour to a series of students and there could be Easter Eggs in there. There’s also an Easter Egg at the end of the movie…”

Additional Animation Supervisor David Schaub went into a bit more detail:

“In the very last shot of the film where [Spider-Man] is swinging, gets himself shot out of the crane and he’s flying down past the George Washington Bridge and he strikes a pose, there’s an Easter Egg — but I can’t tell you any more than that — for something to come.”
