The team from Archer have traveled around quite a bit over their nine seasons and counting. For seven of those seasons, the agents of the International Secret Intelligence Service–an acronym that was eventually pulled for obvious reasons–went about their business as world-traveling super-spies and the members of their support team. In Season 8, Archer changed tack by embracing the 1940s noir setting of “Dreamland”, a story arc taking place in the mind of an unconscious Sterling. Now, as the first official Season 9 trailer reveals, the gang will once again tackle a new genre by heading to “Danger Island” for this eight-episode run.
Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) is joined by Malory Archer (Jessica Walter), Lana Kane a.k.a. Princess Lanaluakalani (Aisha Tyler), Cheryl Tunt a.k.a. Charlotte Vandertunt (Judy Greer), Pam Poovey (Amber Nash), Cyril Figgis a.k.a. Siegbert Fuchs (Chris Parnell), Reynaud (creator Adam Reed) and the scarlet macaw Crackers (Lucky Yates). Archer heads to Danger Island on FXX starting Wednesday, April 25th.
