Variety reports bill-hader-trainwreckthat Hader is in early talks to join Trainwreck, directed and produced by Apatow and scripted by Schumer.  Plot details and roles are being kept hush-hush, but the picture will open July 24, 2015.

New of Boseman joining Gods of Egypt comes courtesy of Deadline.  Gerard Butler, Geoffrey Rush, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites, and Courtney Eaton also star in the Egyptian mythology-inspired action-adventure picture.  Butler stars as “Set, the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt’s throne.  Bek (Thwaites), a defiant mortal, enlists the aid of the powerful god Horus (Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against the evil overlord.”  Boseman will star as Thoth, the God of Wisdom.  Gods of Egypt opens February 12, 2016.

Variety also reports that Hudson, McBride, LaBeouf and Deschanel will star in Rock the Kasbah for director Barry Levinson.  The indie comedy stars Bruce Willis and Billy Murray, and centers on “a has-been rock manager who takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan. When he finds himself in Kabul, abandoned, penniless and without his passport, he discovers a young girl with an extraordinary voice and manages her through Afghanistan’s version of ‘American Idol.'”  Production on the Mitch Glazer-scripted picture is scheduled to start this June.
