Actually, to follow up that slugline, did anyone EVER watch Entertainment Tonight? Even if you want celebrity gossip (which is what stands for “entertainment news”, sadly), you go to TMZ or Defamer or And if you want actual movie news, you go to us (THERE ARE NO OTHER MOVIE SITES. MOVE ALONG). But the studios just can’t seem to wise up so they’re throwing a garbage program like ET the exclusive for the trailer for Michael Mann’s Public Enemies. Of course, ET won’t show you the full the trailer. No, they’ll show you a peek of the trailer which they’ll then air the following day so they can waste even more of your life. Thankfully, the saints over at Trailer Addict have grabbed the brief 25 seconds of footage from the movie’s first trailer and you can check it out below.

For those just tuning in, here’s a brief synopsis: Set during the Depression-era’s great crime wave, the story of the government’s attempt to stop legendary criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd. This operation transformed the FBI into the first federal police force from the powerless agency it once was.

“Public Enemies” hits theatres on July 1st. Click here to check out the new photos that Steve posted earlier today.

UPDATE: The full trailer is now online. Click here to check it out.
