With an insanely stacked ensemble lined up, it’s going to be interesting to see just how satisfying Captain America: Civil War can be from a character standpoint. No doubt Marvel Studios and directors Joe and Anthony Russo are up for the challenge, and on the villain front, the sequel is poised to have a deep connection to The Winter Soldier in a big way: Frank Grillo reprises his role of Brock Rumlow in his altered form as the villain Crossbones.
The character is likely a relatively minor part of Civil War, but our first look at Grillo’s costume has arrived by way of a photo snapped on the Atlanta set. It’s almost like a poor man’s Iron Man suit, which could factor into Robert Downey Jr.’s co-starring presence in the pic.
A few other set photos have also surfaced, including what looks to be a Wakanda set somewhere in Atlanta. That makes sense, seeing as how Civil War will introduce Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther before the character gets his own film in 2018.
Check out some of the set images below. The film also stars (deep breath) Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Daniel Bruhl, and Martin Freeman. Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6th. Click here to catch up on all of our Civil War coverage thus far.

Here’s the official synopsis for Captain America: Civil War:
“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
