‘Captain America: Civil War’ Featurette: The Rift between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers

Ever since the first trailer for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War debuted, fans have been clamoring for more from the Joe and Anthony Russo film that chronicles the epic conflict between the title hero and Tony Stark’s Iron Man. For those of you who aren’t up to speed on the incredible comic book story arc or even the films that have comprised the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until this point, this new featurette from Marvel’s Phase Two Blu-ray box set should go a long way in clarifying things.

The Russos are joined by Executive Producer Nate Moore, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr.Chris EvansChadwick Boseman and Elizabeth Olsen in this early look at Captain America: Civil War. In addition to explaining the reason behind the rift between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, this featurette also teases the appearance of Black Panther (Boseman) and Scarlet Witch (Olsen) in the film, and explores the fallout from the events of the Marvel movies up to this point.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
