clive-owen-king-of-the-castleFirst up from the LA Times comes word that Owen will star in the Gatewood/Tanaka directorial debut The King of the Castle.  Owen stars as a philanderer who is caught during one of his extramarital affairs and blackmailed by a teenager.  The comedy strikes a different note for Owen, who lately has been involved with more dramatic works such as Shadow Dancer, Killer Elite and Intruders. With Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For on the horizon, Owen could surely use a laffer to break up the monotony.  Gatewood and Tanaka, who were co-creators of the recently canceled NBC comedy, Animal Practice, also have a Baywatch feature flick in the works.

Heat Vision reports that not only do Wilson and Tyler star in Space Station 76, the production has already wrapped!  Shot under the radar in Los Angeles, the picture is set in a 70s vision of the future and centers on the comings and goings within a space station. Wilson plays a bitter and suicidal captain, while Tyler stirs things up when she comes on board as a new assistant captain.  The picture also stars Matt Bomer (Magic Mike) as a technician with a robotic hand and a manipulative wife, played by Marisa Coughlan (Super Troopers).  The cast also features Jerry O’Connell, Kali Rocha and newcomer Kylie Rogers.

Last up from Variety is news that Landry Jones will join Tom a la Ferme, in a story that centers on “Tom, who is in the grip of grief following the death of his lover. When he meets the family of the deceased, he learns the mother was not aware of her son’s sexual orientation or of his relationship with Tom.” Dolan co-wrote the script with Michel Marc Brouchard along with an English-speaking part for Landry Jones. Production is expected to start shortly in Montreal.
