     April 11, 2018

1×1 with Kristian Harloff is a new weekly interview show from Collider and the mind of Kristian Harloff, which sees Kristian sit down with a new guest every week to explore their world. He talks with them about their life, their career, and what motivates them in their work. Kristian’s unique and relaxed interview style leads to some hilariously honest and fresh responses from his guests that you won’t hear anywhere else.

On the debut episode of the show, Kristian sits down with actor, playwright, director, comedian, podcaster and comic book writer Dan Fogler to discuss what’s up next for him and what motivates him to tackle as many projects as he does. Since breaking out on Broadway as William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Fogler has appeared n in numerous films and television shows over this last decade. He eventually landed the role of the lovable and sweet Jacob Kowalski in the Fantastic Beasts series and reprises the role in the next installment in the series, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. With the sequel coming out later this year, Kristian also chatted with him about his work on the series and his experiences on the set, and how much of the overall five-movie story he was told by J.K. Rowling.

In addition to his career as an actor, Fogler is also a prolific writer, as his Moon Lake horror compilations would attest. He takes some time to talk about his Brooklyn Gladiator graphic novel, which explores a sci-fi world where all conspiracies are true in a post apocalyptic New York. He goes in depth on his work as writer on both of these projects and what motivates him to create these stories. Dan also chimes in on some of the hottest questions of the day surrounding Star Wars, what he thought about The Last Jedi, and what he hopes to see in Star Wars: Episode IX. He also gives his thoughts on the hilarious Trump time travel theory.

Watch the video above for the full conversation with one of the most talented and driven people working in the industry today. You can also find 1×1 with Kristian Harloff as a podcast on iTunes. For more Collider podcasts, visit The Collider Factory.
