Diane Keaton and Ed Harris Star in THE LOOK OF LOVE

     February 8, 2011

Diane Keaton and Ed Harris have signed on to star in The Look of Love, co-written and directed by Arie Posin (The Chumscrubber).  The film tells the story of “a widow who, several years after the death of her husband, mysteriously meets a man who looks exactly like her deceased husband.”  Julie Lynn (Mother and Child) and Bonnie Curtis (Red Eye) are producing with Exclusive Films International, the studio’s first project under a new funding program.  EFI will debut The Look of Love to foreign buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin alongside  The Woman in Black starring Daniel Radcliffe, George Clooney’s adaptation of The Ides of March, So Undercover starring Miley Cyrus, and Martin Scorsese’s untitled George Harrison documentary.

Posin told THR:running-mates-dvd-cover-ed-harris-diane-keaton

“This movie is about the hope that love can strike at any age, and that it’s possible to love deeply, lose terribly, and still love again. This project will rely heavily on the humanity and honesty of its actors, and I cannot imagine two finer actors in the world than Diane and Ed to entrust with the telling of this story.”

Keaton and Harris are both wonderful leads of a certain age and together form a unique combo. Keaton’s daffy charm, Harris’ blue-eyed intensity — that sounds perfect for the melodrama at hand.  The duo previously starred together in the 1992 HBO movie Running Mates (DVD cover pictured right).

Keaton will next appear on the big screen in Darling Companions; she returns to HBO later this year to star alongside Ellen Page in the new original series Tilda.

Harris’ upcoming projects include Salvation Boulevard, That’s What I Am, and Man on a LedgeClick here to watch our recent interview with Harris to promote The Way Back.
