New posters have been released for Django Unchained, Dredd, and Looper.  The Django Unchained poster is the same as the previous one except it crams in just a few of the names of the stellar cast (it’s also an international poster, so U.S. readers shouldn’t freak out about the “2013” at the bottom; we still get the movie this year).  As for Dredd, my fellow editor Adam Chitwood made an astute observation regarding its similarity to another poster.  Finally, the Looper poster makes a huge reveal about the plot: Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are actually giants fighting for the fate of a city.

Hit the jump to check out the posters.  Django Unchained opens December 25th.  Dredd opens September 21st.  Looper opens the Toronto International Film Festival and then opens nationwide on September 28th.

Posters via IMP Awards.

Here’s the synopsis for Django Unchained:

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.

Here’s the synopsis for Dredd:

The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One–a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge–a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.

Here’s the synopsis for Looper:

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.
