The Wrap, Heat Vision and The Wrap once more all report on the piecemeal casting additions of Interstellar.  The sci-fi picture also stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck and Michael Caine, as well as newcomers Bill Irwin (Rachel Getting Married) and Chalamet.  The story follows a group of explorers who travel through an inter-dimensional wormhole, but that’s all that’s been released as far as plot points or character information at the moment.

Favreau’s Chef, which follows the life of Carl Casper (Favreau), a man who starts up a food truck business in the hopes of reestablishing his artistic promise after he loses his job as a chef, all the while trying to reconnect with his estranged family, has added Hoffman to the cast.  He’ll star alongside Sofia VergaraScarlett JohanssonJohn Leguizamo, and Robert Downey Jr.  Hoffman was introduced as being part of the cast in this Vine from Favreau’s Twitter.

Casting news on Howard’s new picture In the Heart of the Sea comes via The Wrap.  Dillane is in negotiations for the picture based on the Nathaniel Philbrick’s novel, which follows the whaling ship Essex which was attacked by a giant sperm whale and sank in 1820, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days.  The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Ben Walker, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Tom Holland and Sam Keeley.  Dillane would play “an insubordinate crewman named Coffin who is a cousin of Walker’s character.”  The report also has Howard eyeing Whishaw to play “Moby Dick” author Herman Melville, though no deal is currently in place.

Finally, from The Wrap, we have word that Horovitz is in negotiations to join While We’re Young.  The picture stars Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts as a married couple that strikes up an unlikely friendship with a free-spirited younger couple, played by Adam Driver (Girls) and Amanda Seyfried (Lovelace).  Horovitz would play “a married friend of Stiller and Watts’ characters who just had a baby and can no longer relate to the childless couple or why they feel the need to hang out with twenty-something hipsters.”
