The Ivan Reitman-directed football drama Draft Day has just added Burstyn and Pence to their cast.  They will be joining previously-announced actors Costner, Garner, and Denis Leary in the sports film about a manager (Costner) who struggles to obtain the #1 draft pick for the Cleveland Browns.  Per The Wrap, Burstyn will be playing Costner’s mother, while Pence will play “the expected first pick in the NFL draft.”

Meanwhile in the world of talented teen actresses, Steinfeld has landed the starring role in the indie comedy Barely Lethal.  According to Deadline, Steinfeld will play the character of Megan, a 16-year-old who desires to live a normal life after living in a boarding school that trained her to be an assassin.  The screenplay, written by John D’Arco, is being directed by Kyle Newman (Fanboys).  Steinfeld has been the only actor cast so far.

Finally, also from Deadline, comes news that Dylan O’Brien – best known for his role of Stiles in the teen drama Teen Wolf – is set to take the lead role of Thomas in The Maze Runner.  The film is based on James Dashner’s YA novel of the same name and tells the story of a group of teenagers who wake up in a maze to find that their memories have been wiped.  Maze Runner will mark Wes Ball’s first time directing a feature film.  The pic is slated for a February 14, 2014 release.
