frank-langella-reykjavikDeadline reports that Langella will join Reykjavik, a political drama that centers on the 1986 peace summit between Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev in the titular capital.  Michael Douglas (Wall Street) will play the former U.S. President while Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will star as the former Soviet leader.  Langella will next be seen in Stephen Frears’ Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight for HBO next year, followed up by Olivier Dahan’s Grace of Monaco opposite Nicole Kidman and Parts Per Billion, starring Gena Rowlands and Rosario Dawson.

Deadline also reports that Durand will re-team with Egoyan for Queen of the Night.  The picture, co-written by Egoyan and David Fraser, centers on a man (Reynolds) and his wife (Enos) who are presented with hard evidence of their abducted daughter’s six-year disappearance by a detective duo (Speedman and Dawson) who share a similarly estranged relationship.  Durand would play the daughter’s kidnapper.  Most recently seen in Fruitvale at Sundance, Durand will also have turns in Akiva Goldsman’s Winter’s Tale, Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, the indie Dark Was the Night, as well as The Mortal Instruments.

Finally, from Heat Vision comes news that Horn will join the untitled paranormal thriller presented by James Wan.  Horn’s addition follows news of Grillo and Bello taking roles as a policeman and psychologist, respectively, who investigate five deaths resulting from a ghost-hunting excursion.  Horn will star as a ghost hunter.  The film is expected to begin production in Baton Rouge, Louisiana next week.
