We have a few release date schedule updates to attend to this afternoon.  Briefly:

  • Paramount has pushed the Friday the 13th reboot from March 13, 2015 to November 13, 2015.  V/H/S helmer David Bruckner is directing.
  • In light of the Friday the 13th shift, Paramount has moved the comedy/horror film Scouts vs. Zombies up to the film’s old March 13, 2015 date.  Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) directs.
  • Warner Bros. has slated the inspirational film Max for release on January 30, 2015.  Robbie Amell, Lauren Graham, and Thomas Haden Church star in the story of a dog that helped soldiers in Afghanistan who returns to the U.S. and is adopted by his handler’s family.
  • Finally, Sony has moved this summer’s comedy Sex Tape, starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel, up a week to July 18th, away from Lucy and directly opposite Jupiter Ascending and The Purge: Anarchy.
