Showrunner J.H. Wyman Talks FRINGE Series Finale, DEAD MAN DOWN, and His Next Project with Bad Robot

     January 11, 2013

With Fringe coming to a close on Friday, January 18 with a two-hour series finale, The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills recently held a special screening of tonight’s new episode followed by a Q&A with showrunner J.H. Wyman and Lance Reddick (who plays Phillip Broyles).  Shortly before the presentation began, I got to speak with Wyman on the red carpet.  We talked about whether he’s finished editing the series finale, if the network give him any notes, how he chose to end the series, Dead Man Down, and his next TV project with Bad Robot.  Hit the jump to watch.

  • Has the network seen it
  • What happens if the network gives him notes after he’s done editing
  • 1:30 – We talk about how some shows end with a big action scene and some shows end slowly like the finale of Battlestar Galactica
  • 2:20 – Does he check out twitter right after an episode airs
  • 3:05 – Talks about Dead Man Down and his next project with Bad Robot.  He just wrote the pilot script
