George Tillman Jr. to Direct Boxing Biopic of Peter Buckley

Since boxing dramas are all the rage at the moment (see: The Fighter, Warrior), it’s only natural that a film be produced based on the life of Peter Buckley, dubbed the “worst boxer of all time.” Variety reports that George Tillman Jr. (Faster) will direct the inspiration indie that tells the story of Buckley, a boxer who persevered through a record of 256 losses and only 32 wins in his 300 match career. Alex Davidson is writing the screenplay and Tillman Jr. is expected to move on to this project following his next film The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete that starts production this falls with Jennifer Hudson attached to star.
