According to a report from THR, Amy Schumer is in negotiations to star in Sony’s live-action Barbie movie. The story will be in the vein of Splash and Enchanted in which the main character is kicked out of Barbieland for not being perfect enough and lands in a real-world adventure. A search is now on for a director with a release date targeted for summer 2018.

Universal Pictures debuted the first full trailer for The Mummy last night online and during Sunday Night Football. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe as Doctor Jekyll. The movie is directed by Alex Kurtzman and set to open in theatres on June 9, 2017.

Warner Bros. and DC Films have finally set a release date for their standalone debut of Jason Momoa‘s Aquaman. Per Deadline, the film is now set to open on October 5, 2018 in both 3D and IMAX. The Conjuring and Furious 7 helmer James Wan will direct the film about the King of Atlantis, who will make his proper debut in in 2017’s Justice League directed by Zach Snyder.

At the recent Comic Con Experience 2016 in Brazil, a short clip from Jon Watts‘ Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted and in it featured an upgrade to Spidey’s suit that looks to now include the under-the-arm web-wings from the classic comics. The description of the footage, thanks to Omelete, shows Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan asking if Tom Holland’s Peter Parker received a package from Tony Stark. The next scene shows Spider-Man on top of a building with the new, upgraded wing suit.

Samuel Stephens writes:

What do you all think about the trailer for Collateral Beauty? I think it looks like a fake movie like the one in Tropic Thunder. Could this secretly be a parody like The Happening? And how on earth did the movie assemble such a great cast: Will Smith, Helen Mirren, Naomie Harris, Ed Norton? Keira Knightley? Kate Winslet?!
