First Trailer and Poster for HEAVEN IS FOR REAL Starring Greg Kinnear and Kelly Reilly [Updated with Images]

     November 15, 2013

TriStar Pictures has released the first trailer for director Randall Wallace’s adaptation of the Todd Burpo book Heaven Is for Real.  The faith-based film revolves around a young boy who, after a near-death experience, begins recounting his time in heaven with facts that stun his family and friends.  While most Christian-centered films are relegated to tiny budgets and unrecognizable faces both in front of and behind the camera, Heaven Is for Real boasts an impressive ensemble led by Greg Kinnear that includes Kelly Reilly (Flight), Thomas Haden Church, and Margo Martindale, and Wallace was behind the screenplay for Braveheart and most recently directed the uplifting horse racing story Secretariat.  This film is sentimental by nature and there’s plenty of that on display in this trailer, but it also appears to explore the interesting angle of how the young boy’s stories affect the adults around him.
