First Images from Brett Ratner’s HERCULES Starring Dwayne Johnson [Updated with First Poster]

     March 23, 2014

The first images have been released from Brett Ratner’s Hercules.  Not to be confused with the Hercules movie that came out earlier this year, Ratner’s take on the Greek legend is billed as “a revisionist take on the classic myth set in a grounded world where the supernatural does not exist.”  The story takes place after Hercules’ famous 12 labors, and has him “traveling with a group of mercenaries and cashing in on his famous name until he’s hired to train an army for an epic battle.”  Dwayne Johnson stars as the eponymous “first superhero” and tells USA Today, “The No. 1 goal is to make the definitive version of Hercules.  We know we’re going to be under a microscope.”  At the very least, no one’s going to doubt he’s right for the part.
