Is This a Sample of Jared Leto’s Joker Voice for SUICIDE SQUAD?

     March 31, 2015

Jared Leto is a multitasker. The actor is currently on tour with his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, and during shows it looks like he’s testing out his Joker voice for Suicide Squad. Granted, an audience that shows up to his concert is going to love whatever he does unless it’s “DURRR, I’M THE JOKER HARDY HAR HAR.” If this is his Joker voice, it sounds like he’s not going too far off the beaten path. Basically, he’s descending his voice into a gravelly pitch. However, it’s not really the “voice” that matters as much as the laugh. The laugh is what makes the character terrifying and sets him apart from a common street thug. Maybe Leto will test that out a show sometime down the line. In the meantime, check out this video of Leto possibly giving us a taste of what could be the Joker’s voice:
