New ‘John Wick 2’ Trailer Puts Keanu Reeves Back in Action

     December 19, 2016

Lionsgate has released a new trailer for the action-packed sequel John Wick: Chapter 2 starring Keanu Reeves, and it’s exactly the ass-kicking, one-liner and bullet buffet you were hoping for. No matter how hard he tries, Reeves’ reluctant hit man can’t walk away from his past as the world’s biggest badass and how lucky for us. It looks like Chapter 2 is retaining all of John Wick’s colorful personality and palette with the promise of even more ballistic bombardment. “I’ll kill them all,” Wick promises. I have no doubt, sir.

Reeves reprises his titular role as legendary hitman John Wick and is forced out of retirement once again when a former associate plots to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Chad Stahelski—one half of the directing team behind John Wick—takes the helm solo this time around as the franchise heads to Rome. It also looks like the film is doubling down on the world-building, heading back to the fan-favorite Continental Hoteland introducing the “Accounts Payable” department where the world’s deadly elite set their killer contracts. This time, the contract is on Wick himself and he’s going toe-to-toe with a new batch of international assasins.

John Wick: Chapter 2 opens in theaters on February 10, 2017.
