Atlanta Readers: Win Passes to See JUPITER ASCENDING

     January 24, 2015

The Wachowski Siblings‘ newest movie, Jupiter Ascending, has Channing Tatum playing a half-albino werewolf who flies around on rocket boots.  I should not have to tell you anything more to sell you on this movie.  But if you need more convincing, let me point out that few filmmakers are creating movies as wildly original as this directing duo, and while I still don’t know if their latest picture will be campy or crazy, I at least know it’s going to be unlike any other film this year (and yes, that includes the one with the Force waking up).  I’m guessing this movie is going to be divisive, so it’s good to get a jump on being part of the conversation.

I’m pleased to announce we’re giving away 25 pairs of passes to Jupiter Ascending.  To enter for a chance to win a code that will allow you to download up to 2 admit-one passes, send an e-mail to with the subject line “JUPITER ASCENDING”.  The screening is on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7:30PM at Regal Atlantic Station, so don’t enter if you think you’ll be unavailable.  Multiple entries from a single person will disqualify all entries from that person.

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the trailer:

Here’s the official synopsis for Jupiter Ascending:

Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

The film also stars Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, Douglas Booth, Tuppence MiddletonJames D’ArcyTim Pigott-Smith, and Doona Bae.  Jupiter Ascending opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on February 6th.
