Watch: LEGO ‘Jurassic World’ Short Film Gets Dino-mite Trailer

     September 29, 2016

It’s time to go back to Isla Nublar yet again, but I’m not talking about the sequel to Jurassic World. LEGO has tapped into this world of dinosaurs for an animated short film that will be released online in five parts beginning next month. Now fans can get a glimpse of the family-friendly fun — no pteranodons waterboarding assistants in this one — in a new trailer for LEGO Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape.

The plot is essentially the same as the film: Mr. Masrani crashes his helicopter, letting dinosaurs (including the Indominus Rex) out of their cages and he needs Claire (this time with no heels because she’s a mini-figure) to fix everything. Because it’s LEGO, it’ll be less intense and more fun and educational.

Watch the trailer below.

Part 1 of the short will be released on October 3rd, and Parts 2-5 will be released in the ensuing days. According to, they will then be released together as part of a Jurassic World DVD bundle on October 18th.
