‘LEGO Justice League: Cosmic Clash’ Trailer: Brainiac, Time Travel and a Cosmic Treadmill

     December 10, 2015

Although we have our theories, we still don’t know who the main villain will be in the upcoming Justice League Part One. However, we know the villain of the LEGO Justice League movie will be Brainiac. A new trailer for the straight-to-DVD release from the DC universe and LEGO has debuted on Nerdist teasing the destruction to come from one of Superman’s oldest and most powerful adversaries.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s The LEGO Movie proved that there’s still a ton of interest around the beloved building blocks — and when a movie adaptation is done right, it means a big payoff for the studio. So here we are with another story featuring the DC world’s iconic heroes. In this film, Brainiac uses a shrink-ray to capture entire worlds, but when the Justice League attempts to stop him, the villain uses his secret weapon to fling some of the members into various points in time. Batman, Cyborg, and The Flash must then use the Cosmic Treadmill to get them back.

Watch the trailer below:

Aside from the core members, including Superman (voiced by Nolan North), Wonder Woman (Grey Griffin), Batman (Troy Baker), Green Lantern (Josh Keaton), The Flash (James Arnold Taylor), and Cyborg (Khary Payton), DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Cosmic Clash features the likes of Supergirl, Vandal Savage, Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, and Captain Fear. This is no LEGO Batman Movie, but it’ll be a nice palate teaser before Will Arnett brings his Caped Crusader back for a solo film on the big screen.

Elsewhere in the world of LEGO, additional movies are being planned for theaters. Lord and Miller turned in a draft of the script for The LEGO Movie 2 not too long ago, while a Ninjago film is set for release next September 23rd.
