‘The Revenant’ Featurette Explores the Film’s Savage World That’s Worthy of Jack London

     December 22, 2015

Much of the footage from Alejandro González Iñárritu’s upcoming adventure tale The Revenant has been confined to scant trailers and clips, but a new behind-the-scenes featurette blows the lid off the savage world of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Hugh Glass. DiCaprio, Iñárritu and Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki share their vision for bringing the American frontier legend to life in brutal yet beautiful fashion. As this behind-the-scenes look shows, the film looks absolutely fantastic in every conceivable way, and I for one hope that it leads to a resurgence in the popularity of adventure stories.

The Revenant will open in limited release on Christmas Day before expanding into more theaters starting January 8th. The Revenant also stars Tom HardyDomnhall Gleeson and Will Poulter.

Watch the behind-the-scenes featurette for The Revenant below:

Explore the different levels of the beautifully poetic and epic story of one man’s journey of survival. Go behind the scenes of this triumphant American story.
