mark-strong-the-imitation-gameSpeaking with the LA Times, Mark Strong revealed that he will be playing “the guy who knows everything” in The Imitation Game.  The film tells the story of brilliant British mathematician and cryptographer Alan Turing and centers on his breaking of the German enigma code at the end of World War II, his prosecution by his own government for being a homosexual, and his resulting despair.  Cumberbatch is onboard to play Turing and Keira Knightley is set as the female lead.  Headhunters director Morten Tyldum will be taking the helm.

Elegy co-stars Ben Kingsley and Patricia Clarkson are headlining the drama Learning to Drive, which is currently in production in New York under Elegy director Isabel Coixet.  Deadline reports that Clarkson plays a Manhattanite who takes driving lessons from a Sikh instructor (Kingsley) who is living in Queens under political asylum.  The pic is based on a New Yorker essay by Katha Pollitt.

Finally, Delroy Lindo has been added to the growing cast of writer/director Michael Almereyda’s (Hamlet) reimagining of Cymbeline.  The film is in the vein of Sons of Anarchy and Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet and is described as “an epic battle between dirty cops and a drug-dealing biker gang set in a corruption-riddled 21st century America.”  Ethan Hawke, Ed Harris, Milla Jovovich, Anton Yelchin, Boyd Holbrook, and Dakota Johnson are already set to star, and now Deadline reports that Lindo has signed on to play Belarius, a manly, battered and paranoid noble.
