The flight of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s adaptation of “The Green Hornet” has been a wild ride. Just ignoring all the hands the project passed through before coming to Rogen/Goldberg, the project has flitted with Stephen Chow coming on board as Kato and as the director, leaving the director’s chair, possibly leaving the film entirely, the whole project stopping dead, and then Rogen assuring us all that the project is alive and well.
It’s now doing REALLY well because Michel Gondry has come on board to direct. With Gondry now in the director’s chair, this could quite possibly be one of the most fun films ever. It’s a collaboration between Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Stephen Chow, and Michel Gondry. How can anyone who knows anything about the prior work and style of these guys not be excited?
