My Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation coverage continues with a round of “High Low.” In the fifth installment, the IMF is disbanded so Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) must eliminate a network of highly skilled special agents called the Syndicate with help from Benji (Simon Pegg), Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Luther (Ving Rhames) and the minimal resources they have left. However, there’s also disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson). She could be a major asset to the team, but it isn’t quite clear where her loyalties lie.
While covering the Rogue Nation world premiere in Vienna I got the chance to sit down with Pegg and Ferguson to discuss the highs and lows of making the movie. Check out what they thought of rappelling down the Vienna Opera House, Cruise’s strict diet and more in the video interview below. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation hits theaters nationwide on July 31st.
Here’s the official synopsis for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.
