Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch is the second feature directed by Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod), who cut his teeth on the SNL digital shorts as one of the founding members of The Lonely Island.  The sci-fi comedy opens on July 27.  Hill posted this image on Twitter with the message: “Neighborhood Watch has officially wrapped! Stiller. Vaughn. Hill. Summer 2012.”  No love for Ayoade?  He’s right here, man.  That’s racist.

Juno Temple, Wes Bently, Sharon Stone, Adam Brody, Demi Moore, and possibly James Franco star alongside Seyfried and Peter Sarsgard.  Lovelace is Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s follow-up to another biopic, Howl.  Images via Coming Soon:

Dog Fight

Jason Sudeikis, John Lithgow, Dylan McDermott, Brian Cox, Josh Lawson, Gary Grubbs, P.J Byrne, and Dan Aykroyd also star in Dog Fight, directed by Jay Roach.  The political comedy is due out August 10.

I believe this is our first look at Dog Fight [via @Agirlfromthe504], so it’s too bad it’s so blurry.  To make up for it, I’ve included another photo from the set that we missed a couple weeks ago courtesy of NOLA Movies, featuring Ferrell and Sudeikis.

Welsh is the same author who gave us Trainspotting, which was turned into one of my favorite movies.  Filth sounds just as twisted, but on paper, much less charming.  Here’s the book synopsis:

With the Christmas season upon him, Detective Sergeant Bruce Robertson of Edinburgh’s finest is gearing up socially—kicking things off with a week of sex and drugs in Amsterdam.

There are some sizable flies in the ointment, though: a missing wife and child, a nagging cocaine habit, some painful below-the-belt eczema, and a string of demanding extramarital affairs. The last thing Robertson needs is a messy, racially fraught murder, even if it means overtime—and the opportunity to clinch the promotion he craves. Then there’s that nutritionally demanding (and psychologically acute) intestinal parasite in his gut. [Amazon]

Yeesh.  You can see a couple more images at Accidental Sexiness.
