New ‘The Twilight Zone’ Trailer Teases New Tales of Terror

     February 21, 2019

CBS All Access has just released the first full trailer for The Twilight Zone. They had a good tease during the Super Bowl, but this trailer is the first one to show clips from the various episodes, which have some impressive talent including Kumail Nanjiani, John Cho, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Steven Yuen, Jacob Tremblay, Jessica Williams, and many more.

I’m incredibly exited for what producer and host Jordan Peele has in store with this new version of The Twilight Zone. It looks like the show definitely has the vibe of the original series, but it also feels fresh and more immediate (although some of the original Twilight Zone episodes are straight-up timeless with their depressing relevancy). I’ve been on the fence about getting CBS All Access, but it looks like Twilight Zone is going to tip me into becoming a subscriber.

Check out The Twilight Zone trailer below. The series premieres on April 1st with two episodes and all subsequent new episodes will air on Thursday starting on April 11th.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Twilight Zone:

THE TWILIGHT ZONE is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Glen Morgan, Carol Serling, Rick Berg and Greg Yaitanes.

The original “The Twilight Zone” premiered on Oct. 2, 1959 on CBS. The series took viewers to another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. “The Twilight Zone” became a worldwide phenomenon as it used socially conscious storytelling to explore the human condition and culture of the times. It was a journey into a wondrous land of imagination for five years on CBS, from 1959 to 1964. The godfather of sci-fi series, the show explored humanity’s hopes, despairs, prides and prejudices in metaphoric ways conventional dramas could not. Every episode of the original series is available to stream now on CBS All Access.
