A number of actors have joined the cast of the Lionsgate comedy Gay Dude. Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Gary Cole and Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker) are the latest actors to sign on to the comedy directed by Chris Nelson. The story centers on two high schoolers who make a pact to lose their virginity before graduation. The plan goes awry, however, when one of the friends (Hunter Cope) comes out of the closet. Nicholas Braun plays Cope’s best friend, with Dakota Johnson, Drema Walker and Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland rounding out the cast.

Variety reports that Offerman, who is the genius behind the character of Ron Swanson on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, will play Braun’s supportive father. Cole plays Cope’s conservative father, Mullally will play Cope’s mother, and Geraghty will take on the role of Cole’s older brother who is still living at home. The film boasts a strong Parks and Rec pedigree, as Mullally has guest-starred multiple times opposite her real-life husband Offerman, and the script for Gay Dude was written by Parks and Rec scribe Alan Yang.
