First Trailer for ‘Playmobil: The Movie’ Takes the Iconic Toy Brand to the Big Screen

     April 16, 2019

Part live-action, but mostly animation, Playmobil: The Movie aims to do what The LEGO Movie did for its parent company back in 2014: Kickstart a family film franchise and reignite interest from new and old fans alike. The first official trailer for the upcoming movie is here, and it promises a fun-filled adventure stocked with only the slightest bit of peril and a barrelful of laughs for the little ones. I’ll admit to being a bit disconcerted by the intense, lidless eyes of the main characters, but if I could get over it for Alita: Battle Angel, I think I’ll be just fine for this one.

Featuring the voices of Anya Taylor-Joy, Jim Gaffigan, Gabriel Bateman, Adam Lambert, Kenan Thompson, Meghan Trainor and Daniel Radcliffe, Playmobil: The Movie arrives in U.S. theaters this November 22nd after its world premiere at Annecy this June and its world tour in European territories this August.
