  • Oscar winning filmmaker Milos Forman passed away on Friday at 86 years old. He won the Best Director Oscar twice for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Amadeus. Well known character actor R. Lee Ermey also passed away at 74.
  • Disney and Lucasfilm released a new Solo: A Star Wars Story TV spot that teases a first meeting between Han Solo and Chewbacca.
  • Weekend Box Office: This past weekend, Rampage starring Dwayne Johnson took the #1 spot at the box office with $34.5 million domestically and an addition $114.1 million overseas. A Quiet Place remained strong at the box office with a $32.6 million second week haul.
  • Deadline reports that Gabriel Luna has been tapped to be the new Terminator in the Terminator reboot directed by Tim Miller. Luna is best known for playing the Ghost Rider in Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • According to the Daily Mail, Ed Sheeran is in talks to appear in Danny Boyle’s new musical comedy inspired by the music of The Beatles, The film is tentatively titled All You Need Is Love.
