It’s that time of year again, folks.  The Fall TV season is upon us, which means our daily TV ratings rundown is back.  Most of the networks don’t start their new seasons until next week, but Fox got a jump on things last night.  Here’s a brief look at the ratings for Monday, September 16th:

  • Fox’s new series Sleepy Hollow debuted to a hefty 3.4 rating in the 18-49 demo and 10.05 million viewers, which marks the network’s best series premiere since 2007’s K-VilleSleepy Hollow was up 127% from the premiere of The Mob Doctor last fall and up 6% over the impressive debut of The Following this past January.  Next week is the true test, as we see how well the show holds its look-in audience.  Read Allison’s recap of the pilot here.
  • CBS’ much-maligned Under the Dome finished its first season with a healthy 2.8 rating and 11.84 million viewers.  Despite truly scathing reviews, the sci-fi series was a summer hit for CBS and will return next year for a second season.
  • Back on Fox, the season premiere of Bones scored a 2.2 rating in the demo and 7.53 million viewers, which is down 4% from last season’s premiere but up 5% from last season’s finale.
