There have been five different trailers, clips, and featurettes released (maybe more) in the last week for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This is pretty classic (read: deeply aggravating) Disney behavior now, amping up marketing for a movie that everyone is going to see to the point that you begin alienating fans. And okay, maybe not everyone is going to see Rogue One: I’m sure people who absolutely love telling people that they don’t care about Star Wars will not be in attendance.
In line with the rest of the week, today brings another TV spot for the film’s IMAX release, which focuses almost entirely on Director Krennic, the villainous honcho and noted Death Star lover played by the great Ben Mendelsohn. Hopefully, this trailer, which you can take a look at below, will be last marketing blast for the week.

And as with all Star Wars movies, Rogue One has a do-good charity component to its marketing campaign that, no matter how good the intentions and the money made for good causes, always feels a bit beguiling. In this case, it’s #CreateCourage, a global initiative to help kids with terminal diseases around the world. You can check out the adorable, tear-jerker ad for the initiative right below:
