Quentin Tarantino’s Longtime Editor Sally Menke Found Dead at 56

     September 28, 2010

Sad news to report today as celebrated editor Sally Menke was found dead today at the age of 56.  Menke edited all of Quentin Tarantino’s films and received Oscar nominations for her work on Inglourious Basterds and Pulp Fiction.  After the jump, you can check out a video where Tarantino talks about his relationship with Menke and their work together on Death Proof.  Menke was currently at work editing Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet.

The LA Times reports that Menke went hiking with her dog in the extreme heat on Monday and was reported missing when she didn’t return home.  Searchers discovered her body early Tuesday morning in a ravine in Beachwood Canyon.  Our deepest condolences go out to Menke’s friends and family.
