Sam Claflin and Lily Collins to Star in LOVE, ROSIE; Bruce Greenwood Joins QUEEN OF THE NIGHT

Though they each starred in separate Snow White movies last year, Sam Clafin and Lily Collins are set to team up onscreen for an upcoming adaptation of the Cecelia Ahern novel Where Rainbows EndVariety reports that Claflin and Collins will front Love, Rosie, which will be directed by Christian Ditter (The Crocodiles).  The screenplay adaptation was penned by Juliette Towhidi (Calendar Girls) and centers on a young girl whose plans to attend college in the U.S. with her best friend (Claflin) are thrown into question when she becomes pregnant after a night out with the most popular boy in school.

The story takes place over the course of 12 years as the friends maintain their connection, and production is set to get underway in May.  Hit the jump for more, including casting news concerning Queen of the Night.

Love, Rosie isn’t the first Ahern adaptation to make it to the big screen, as Hilary Swank previously fronted the 2007 iteration of her novel P.S. I Love You.  Claflin recently wrapped a major role in the sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Collins will next be seen in the YA adaptation The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

Additionally, The Wrap reports that Bruce Greenwood has joined the cast of Queen of the Night.  The film stars Ryan Reynolds as a father who discovers a series of disturbing clues eight years after his daughter is abducted, and he becomes determined to find her when the trail leads him to believe the now 17-year old girl is alive.  Greenwood will play a successful developer in the film, and he’ll star alongside Mireille Enos, Kevin Durand, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson, and Alexia Fast.  Production begins today in Ontario.
