Judging from the trailers, Sausage Party looks like it only has one joke, and that joke is, “Watch food die horribly.” And yet it also looks like the joke is funny enough that it can sustain the entire film. Also, when your film is from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, chances are that there’s probably some diversity in the humor as well as some satire. The buzz on the film out of both SXSW and Comic-Con was positive, and it will be nice to wind down the summer with a raunchy comedy.
