‘Spectre’: Dave Bautista Brawls with Daniel Craig in New Clip

     October 25, 2015

Sony Pictures has released a new clip from the upcoming James Bond film Spectre, and if you’re a fan of fisticuffs, you are in for a treat. This new look at the Skyfall follow-up finds Dave Bautista’s henchman Mr. Hinx going toe-to-toe with Daniel Craig’s Bond on a train, breaking objects left and right. The story of the film finds Bond receiving a cryptic message from the evil organization known as SPECTRE and subsequently going on a hunt that uncovers long-held secrets. One imagines this hunt is where Bond crosses paths with Hinx.

The first reviews of Spectre maybe aren’t as universally glowing as director Sam Mendes’ previous Bond outing, Skyfall, but I’m eager to see the film nonetheless—if only for the chance to see a new movie from Sam Mendes. I’m also incredibly curious to see how Hoyte van Hoytema fares behind the camera as cinematographer.

For now, check out the new clip below, and click here to watch Steve’s on-set interview with Bautista. The film also stars Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M,Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann and Stephanie Sigman as Estrella. Spectre opens in the UK on October 26th and in the US on November 6th.

Here is a more detailed synopsis for Spectre:

A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE.

Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), the new head of the Centre for National Security, questions Bond’s actions and challenges the relevance of MI6, led by M (Ralph Fiennes). Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him seek out Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Jesper Christensen), who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. As the daughter of an assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot.

As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz.
