Watch: Harrison Ford Uses Han Solo Doll to Explain ‘Star Wars’ Injury to Jimmy Fallon

     December 2, 2015

Harrison Ford can be a funny guy, often when he’s not exactly meaning to be. On last night’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actor (“Academy Award nominated actor!” he stressed to Fallon) talked about his injury while filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and how it related to director J.J. Abrams (at whose name is did a spit-take, which then started off a hilarious series of spit-takes with Fallon as well). When Fallon brought up the fact that Abrams was injured along with Ford, he was having none of it — “Oh, poor guy, what a pity.” He said before adding, “They closed the f–king door on me!”

Fallon then produced a Han Solo doll for Ford to demonstrate his injury on, and the results are absolutely hilarious, especially since Ford just basically rips the doll apart. When asked what it was like to put on Han Solo costume again, Ford said he’s just “an old man” and that he didn’t get emotional, rather, “I got paid.” Check out the full clip below:

Quite seriously, there are few things funnier (apparently) than seeing Harrison Ford destroy a Han Solo doll, leaving the doll pantsless, and then him just tossing it over his shoulder. “Let’s not talk about that injury.” Ford can be a difficult interview, but I think Fallon handled it really well, and even got some great bits and quips from him. Bottom line though, you have to respect his candor!
