The Collider Podcast: Episode 127 – The Films of Guillermo Del Toro and The Films of Paul Thomas Anderson

     February 14, 2018

This week on The Collider Podcast, we’re talking about the films of Guillermo del Toro and Paul Thomas Anderson now that their latest movies, The Shape of Water and Phantom Thread, respectively, are in wide release. The first half of the show is devoted to the films of del Toro and how he has struggled and persevered as an artist both in his indie films and working within the Hollywood system. Then we move on to Anderson and discuss how radically his artistry has changed over the course of two decades and the bizarre strain of humor running through most of his filmography.
