‘The Conjuring 2’: What Did You Think?

     June 10, 2016

This weekend sees the release of James Wan’s The Conjuring 2. The original grossed $318 million worldwide and received critical acclaim, so that sets a high bar for the follow up. I haven’t seen the sequel yet, but in her review of the film, Perri said of the picture:

The Conjuring 2 is an excellent example of what more sequels should aspire to be, unique but respectful of the tone and style established in the original movie.

But we’re eager to know what you thought of the film. Did it live up to the original? Is it scarier than the first film? Do you think Wan should stay in his horror wheelhouse, or has he grown as a director? Sound off in the comments section!

And here’s the official synopsis:

The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
