Yesterday I got a call from a friend after he saw Indyas he was freaking out over the first trailer for David Fincher’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” He said how amazing the footage looked and he thought, based on just the trailer, thatthe film is going to be one of the best films coming out in 2009.

And after watching the trailer myself…I’d have to agree with him.

The movie looks like a masterpiece, and while I was excited before to see the film…Benjamin Button is now at the top of my list for anticipated films for the rest of the year.

While many of you are fans of David Fincher and know his films, for those that don’t…Fight Club, The Game, Zodiac, Seven…you see where this is going. The guy is an artist in every sense of the word.

Anyway, watch this trailer. If you don’t think this is one of the best trailers you’ve seen in a long time…I’d be shocked. Also, here’s the official synopsis in case you don’t know about the movie:

“I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, “Benjamin Button,” is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

Finally, since the trailer is not yet online here in the states, I’ve posted an international version. Needless to say, I’ll update it as soon as Paramount releases a domestic one.
