scott-eastwood-the-longest-rideFirst up, Heat Vision reports that Blake Nelson is in final talks to join The Fantastic Four.  Wile Teller, Bell, Mara, and Jordan are set as the title heroes (with Kebbell antagonizing them as Victor von Doom), Blake Nelson would play the eccentric and socially awkward scientist, Harvey Elder.  A little digging will reveal Elder’s alter ego (spoiler: Mole Man), but the write-up says he won’t be appearing in that form in this first film.  He may, however, be set up to return in that capacity in a future film.

Deadline reports on a pair of additions to Spy in Janney and Baccarin.  Janney will play “top CIA agent Elaine Crocker,” who has been described as “tough with a biting sense of humor.”  Baccarin joins as the nondescript Karen Walker.  The film, which is currently in production, is due out Memorial Day 2015.

Finally, Deadline reports that Eastwood will lead The Longest Ride.  The latest Sparks adaptation sees “a 91-year-old man trapped in a car crash who reflects on his life with his deceased wife as a young couple fall in love a few miles away.”  Eastwood will play the male lead of that younger couple, Luke Collins, who’s involved with college senior, Sophia Danko.  Perhaps Eastwood’s famous father will come on board to play the elder car crash victim?  (Don’t hold your breath.)   The Longest Ride is due out in April of next year.
