‘The Flash’ Season 2: Atom-Smasher Crashes “Flash Day” Party in First Clip

One more day! The Flash kicks of its sophomore season tomorrow night, and in advance of the premiere, The CW has a released the first Season 2 clip.  The action picks up about six months after the game-changing events of the Season 1 finale, and it looks like the people of Central City have fully embraced their resident hero. The clip shows the city celebrating “Flash Day”, that is until a pesky, villainous metahuman Atom-Smasher crashes the party.

The Flash returns tomorrow, Tuesday, October 6th at 8pm. Grant GustinDanielle Panabaker, Jessie L. MartinCarlos ValdesCandice PattonTom Cavanagh, and John Wesley Shipp are all back for more metahuman mayhem in Season 2. Check out the first clip below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the Flash Season 2 premiere episode, “The Man Who Saved Central City”.

“Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco helps Joe with his Meta Task Force.”
