Atlanta Readers: Win Passes to See THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

     November 12, 2013

A few weeks ago, I was at a screening, and the person behind me tapped me on the shoulder to ask if we were going to give away passes to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  I said, “Maybe,”; now I can say “Definitely”, and I’m willing to bet that gentleman isn’t the only one excited for this movie.  I really enjoyed Gary RossThe Hunger Games, but now the franchise faces a new challenge by having to work with a different director (I Am Legend’s Francis Lawrence) and a weaker novel (it’s widely agreed that it peaks halfway through).  Still, the trailers have been encouraging, the plot is solid, and I have high expectations for this sequel.

We’re going to be giving away ten pairs of passes to the Atlanta screening of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  The screening will also be live streaming the red carpet from the Los Angeles premiere, brought to you by Subway.  Hit the jump to find out how you can see the movie early and for free.  It opens wide in regular theaters and IMAX on November 22nd.

To enter for a chance to get you and a guest into the movie, send an e-mail to with the subject line “THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE”.  Please include your mailing address so we can mail you your passes.  The screening is on Monday, November 18th at 9:30 PM at Regal Atlantic Station, so don’t enter if you think you’ll be unavailable. Please note that a pass is not a ticket. To guarantee a seat, please arrive at the theater early since seating is first come, first serve.

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the trailer:

And here’s the official synopsis for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark.  Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.  Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
