Wow. Here’s the part of the day when you suddenly get very envious of all the east-coasters headed to New York Comic-Con. Today, Fox announced that The X-Files revival series will premiere at NYCC – three months ahead of its network debut!
The X-FIles will premiere on Saturday, October 10th on the Jatvis Center Main Stage, and will by followed by a panel with Spooky Mulder himself, AKA David Duchovny, and series creator Chris Carter. Silicon Valley‘s Kumail Nanjiani (who has a guest starring role in the revival series) will moderate the Q&A.
Original series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are reprising their roles in the revival series as the intrepid truth-seeking duo Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. They’ll be joined by familiar faces Dean Haglund as The Lone Gunman, Mitch Pileggi as Skinner, Annabeth Gish as Agent Monica Reyes, and William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man. Newcommers Annet Mehendru, Kamil Nanjiani and Joel McHale are also on board in guest starring roles, the later portraying a conservative talk show host who becomes an unlikely ally to Mulder. Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose are also slated for new roles.
The X-Files returns to FOX on January 24th, 2016.
