Thursday TV Ratings: ‘Heroes Reborn’ Continues to Slide, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Up

     October 16, 2015

The Thursday TV ratings for October 15th are in; here are some of the highlights:

  • Grey’s Anatomy was one of the night’s only high points, scoring a 2.2 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, and 8.18 million viewers at 8 p.m. for ABC (up a tenth from last week — it’s not much, but it’s something!)
  • Scandal took a big hit at 9 p.m. on ABC, dropping three tenths to a 2.3 rating and 8 million viewers, while How to Get Away with Murder slid a tenth at 10 p.m, garnering 6.75 million viewers.

Fox didn’t have a great night, which started when Bones slipped a tenth at 8 p.m. to a 1.1 rating and 5.73 million viewers, but got much worse when Sleepy Hollow dropped below the 1.0 line to a 0.8 rating and 3.05 million viewers.

  • NFL Thursday Night Football on CBS probably took a chunk out of some of these series’ live numbers, but the Mets and Dodgers MLB playoff also probably had a hand to play in some of the night’s dismal ratings.
  • Still, things were steady on the CW, with The Vampire Diaries hitting its same 0.6 ratings mark from last week, with 1.4 million viewers at 8 p.m., and The Originals even notched up a tenth to a 0.5 rating and 1.09 million viewers.

  • On NBC, Heroes Reborn continues to struggle at 8 p.m. with a 1.1 rating (down a tenth from last week) and 4 million viewers, and The Blacklist also dropped a tenth at 9 p.m. with its 1.4 rating and 6.83 million viewers. The Player finished things out at 10 p.m. dropping two tenths to a 0.7 rating and 3.98 million viewers (it may not be long for this world, although I’ve said that before and it’s not budging yet).
